WEATHER ALERT: CAMPUS CLOSED TODAY, SEPTEMBER 18TH

The University of Maryland College Park will close today, Thursday, Sept. 18, because of the anticipated arrival later today of severe weather associated with Hurricane Isabel. Numerous public services,
including Metro, will be shutting down early today also, which would inconvenience commuters.
All classes are canceled. All other scheduled activities are canceled. All campus libraries are closed. All but essential staff may take administrative leave today.
Food service will be available for students living on campus. Please see http://www.dining.umd.edu/releases/isabel.cfm for information. Resident
students also should take the precautions recommended by the
Office of Resident Life. You can view this information on line at www.resnet.umd.edu/EMERGENCY.
Please note that no decision has been made about the university's status
for Friday. Please continue to monitor this Web site or the weather emergency hot line at 301.405.SNOW (7669), as well as local radio
and television news stations for the latest information.
