Turtles on Parade

The Fear the Turtle Sculptures' cheerful designs have brightened the campus throughout the summer. Now here's your chance to cheer all of them as they parade through campus Wednesday morning headed to Riggs Alumni Center for one last showcase before they get auctioned off on Thursday to generate needed funds for student scholarships.

In a special send-off parade, the turtles will wind through campus between 9:45 and 10:15 a.m. accompanied by some of the student and staff artists who helped create them, as well as some of the campus sponsors. Come out to wave as they enter campus at the Regent's Drive gate, pass in front of Memorial Chapel and Main Admin, round the M-Circle and head up Campus Drive to Lot 1 to end at the Riggs Alumni Center.

Following the parade, all the turtles will be on display to the public from noon to 5 p.m. in Alumni Hall at Riggs. They'll be available for last hugs and kisses, or to get photos of the ones you missed this summer.
