Known for his entrepreneurial success, his creative development of international
markets, and his support of the Chesapeake Bay, Steve Phillips is a major
figure in the Maryland economy and a successful leader of his family business,
which produces 100,000 crab cakes a day.
Phillips, who comes from
a long line of watermen, was called King of Crab-meat by Baltimore Smart
Ceo magazine.
He developed his parents' Phillips Seafood Restaurant into an international
food operation.
The lecture, underwritten entirely through a gracious gift by ODK Alumnus
Robert Yellowlees, is open to all students, alumni, staff and faculty.
