Feb. 9 Seminar: Can We Avert the Next Influenza Pandemic?
Dr. Daniel Perez, a leading avian influenza researcher, will give a
seminar titled, "Can We Avert the Next Influenza Pandemic?"
The seminar will be given at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday February 9, 2005 in Room 0408 of
the Animal Sciences Building.
Dr. Perez is a faculty member in the Department of Veterinary Medicine
and the recent recipient of a five-million dollar grant from the U.S.
Department of Agriculture. It is the largest grant ever given by USDA to
study a single animal disease or health threat.
