Show Your Support for Virginia Tech on a Day of Support and Mourning
Join students at universities all over the country who will
wear Virginia Tech school colors Friday as a show of support for those impacted
by Monday's tragedy.
The Virginia Tech Alumni Association has invited the country to take part in their Orange and Maroon Effect day on Friday, April 20. Terps can wear Virginia Tech school colors maroon and burnt orange to show support for the students, faculty, administrators, staff, alumni, and friends.
Maryland Governor O'Malley Declares Friday, April 20 Day of Mourning
In addition, we will respond to Maryland Governor Martin O'Malley's declaration that Friday be observed as a day of mourning to honor the lives of those lost, and to join schools, businesses, churches and local governments across the state by ringing bells—in our case, at the Chapelat noon.
In conclusion, we are all Terps for life, but for one day, we will all be Hokies. Thanks for putting that famous Terrapin pride to use, for the benefit of an ACC institution that needs all the support we can give.
