Preparing for Pandemic Influenza: A Public Health Imperative

The University of Maryland welcomes Dr. Anthony Fauci to campus to discuss the potential of an influenza pandemic and America’s current level of preparedness. Dr. Fauci is director of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases. He advises the government on the global AIDS crisis and threats related to bioterrorism. Dr. Fauci is a member of the National Academy of Sciences, American Academy of Arts and Sciences and American Philosophical Society as well as many other professional societies. The lecture is part of the College of Education’s EDPL Center for Education Policy and Leadership Annual Series, “Diversity and Community in American Life.” More information about the lecture...
