one's expertise, developing new friendships, learning about another
environment or culture, and contributing to important projects are
important motivators.
Participation
in the Senior Volunteer Service Corps offers these and other

Each Volunteer Receives:
- A University identity card
- Staff Discounts
- A parking permit
- An email account
- Library card
- Use of UM Shuttle buses
- Invitations to a recognition reception
hosted
by the university's president, and
other
events throughout the year
- Tuition-Free Courses
(for MD residents age 60 or older under the University's Golden I.D. program)
- Audit Courses at no cost
(Those not eligible for tuition-free courses may receive the staff's assistance in arranging audit
(this informal arrangement is at the discretion of the instructor)
