This affiliate club of the University of Maryland Alumni Association (for LGBT alumni and their friends) promotes the advancement of Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, and Transgender concerns at the University of Maryland through programs, social and cultural activities, as well as activism and community service on and off campus.

The Career Center provides resources to assist LGBT students in identifying career options, LGBT-friendly companies, rights of LGBT employees, as well as internship, part-time and full-time job listings. Sexual orientation, and gender identity and expression are protected classes at the University of Maryland. Should a problem arise from acts of discrimination to computer stalking, there are multiple officers who individuals may contact to seek resolution. Click here for brief descriptions of each. The staff in the Office of Student Financial Aid (OSFA) understands that at times, situations arise that are unusual or may require students to discuss issues that may be uncomfortable. All the financial aid counselors in OSFA are sensitive to the needs of LGBT students. The Office of LGBT Equity has a Financial Aid Liaison who is available to counsel students about Financial Aid Resources and how to access them. For more information on simple things you can do to make sure you take care of yourself in an unforeseen circumstance, click here.
