2. Summer ON-LINE Course - EDCP 318W : Leadership in the Workplace

Available Summer Session II (EDCP 318W section WB21). This course is an exploration of leadership theory and practice in the workplace: leadership versus management, ethics in the workplace, leadership in groups, teamwork, and practical application of leadership models.

This is an online course, which will be taught using Canvas. There will be no classroom meetings. Students will engage in online discussions, bring in examples of leadership theories and ideas from their workplaces, and apply models to their experiences.

Students enrolled in the course must have a job (and job setting) to participate in the course fully. Students who have questions can contact the instructors at lsm-advise@umd.edu.

6. UMD Summer Diversity Conference

Invited speakers include Derek Iwamoto Ph.D. (UMD), Karen O'Brien Ph.D. (UMD), and Tracy Riggins, Ph.D (UMD), Cristiane Duarte, Ph.D. (Columbia University), Mark Hatzenbuehler, Ph.D. (Columbia University), and Raymond Crowel, Psy.D. (Behavioral Health and Crisis Services, MD).
