1. PARTICIPANTS NEEDED for an information behavior study

Graduate students who meet the following criteria are invited to participate in an information behavior study.

The participants will be invited for a casual interview session--about 40 minutes--to talk about their adjustment experience in College Park area.
The participants will be paid $10.

We are looking for graduate students who have lived in the area for less than a year and fit in one of the following criteria:

(1) DOMESTIC (American) MALE students from OTHER STATES
OR
(2) INTERNATIONAL students from Latin America, Africa, Europe, Middle East, Southeast Asia (so EXCLUDING China, India, and Korea), and the area surrounding Australia

3. "Moving Maryland Forward" Grants RESCHEDULED Information Session

The Office of Diversity & Inclusion is offering grants up to $15,000 for projects related to our Diversity Strategic Plan. Due to inclement weather, two of the information sessions for the "Moving Maryland Forward" Grant had to be cancelled. The make up information session is designed to answer any questions about the grant and the application process. All are welcome. Proposals are due Tuesday, March 24, 2015.

You are invited to submit an abstract for the GSG's Annual Graduate Research Interaction Day which will take place on Wednesday, April 8th, 2015 in the Stamp. This event provides an opportunity to present your research to an interdisciplinary audience, network with other graduate students of various disciplines at UMD, and gain an experience attending and presenting at a conference. There will be food, keynote speakers, and travel awards to be won. We accept proposals for brief, dynamic talks; symposia style oral presentations; and posters.

Fatima is an amazing 29 year old girl. She is a brilliant PhD Student in Management at LUISS Guido Carli University, Roma, Italy.

Fatima was diagnosed with Non-Hodgkin Lymphoma (cancer of lymph tissues) about a year ago and is in need of URGENT Bone Marrow transplant.

You CAN be the chance to a NEW life for HER and many other patients in need of stem cells by joining the "Be The Match Registry" with a simple Saliva Sampling.

Please join us on Tuesday, March 3 in University of Maryland, Stamp Union-Prince George room, to be a hero!

"Be the Match" organization is going to be here from 11:00 am to 4:00 pm to take your saliva samples.

So, you can easily be part of the global bone marrow donors' registry and in case you match a cancer patient, you will have a chance to save her/his life
