DIVERSITY TIP OF THE WEEK: Go Somewhere Challenging

Event Type(s): Other,Diversity

A fantastic way to expand your understanding of diversity and inclusion is to attend events that address an unfamiliar diversity topic. It could be a workshop about introversion, a lecture on Islam, a queer people of color conference, a Nepali festival, or a celebration recognizing military veterans. It's important to remember one's role as a guest and that some spaces might be inappropriate to use as a learning experience -- such as private groups, support groups, religious services, etc. When in doubt, contact the organizers if you wish to take pictures or conduct research.
