On Tuesday, Sept. 8, the University of Maryland will launch a new university calendar that will streamline and replace the FYI and Free Stuff @ UMD calendars. Beginning Sept. 8, you will be able to submit your events to the new campus calendar for review and approval, much like the current process for FYI and Free Stuff @ UMD. On Sept. 8, if you visit this website, you will automatically be redirected to the new calendar. In addition, a new weekly email called UMD This Week will launch on Sept. 8, replacing the daily FYI email. UMD This Week will be delivered at the beginning of every week and will highlight top upcoming events. The President's Commission on Ethnic Minority Issues (PCEMI) invites you to join us for the 2014 Ethnic Minority Achievement Awards on Friday, May 9, 2014, from 3:00 to 5:00 p.m. in the Grand Ballroom Lounge at the Stamp Student Union. The theme of this year's ceremony is "Building a Cultural Competent Campus for a Global Community ". Keynote address will be given by Dr. Sharon Fries-Britt, Associate Professor, College of Education.
