Suicide is the second leading cause of death among college students. Please join us, and walk to raise funds for suicide prevention! The University of Maryland #stresslessweek will host an "Out of Darkness Walk," a 5k (3 mile) suicide prevention event to be held on the UMD campus. The walk will take place around McKeldin Mall from 6-9pm on Sunday, April 13. Walkers can register to participate individually or with a team. Walkers are encouraged to make a donation to the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention, and teams often set group fundraising goals as well (example: $1, $5, or $10 per teammate). Individuals who raise $100 for suicide prevention will receive a free t-shirt.
