On Tuesday, Sept. 8, the University of Maryland will launch a new university calendar that will streamline and replace the FYI and Free Stuff @ UMD calendars. Beginning Sept. 8, you will be able to submit your events to the new campus calendar for review and approval, much like the current process for FYI and Free Stuff @ UMD. On Sept. 8, if you visit this website, you will automatically be redirected to the new calendar. In addition, a new weekly email called UMD This Week will launch on Sept. 8, replacing the daily FYI email. UMD This Week will be delivered at the beginning of every week and will highlight top upcoming events. The email will include details on how to access the new calendar and how to submit events for approval. Questions? Email

Join the UCC on a Career Shuttle to The Smithsonian Institution Office of Exhibits Central!
The Office of Exhibits Central (OEC) supports Smithsonian museums and units in all aspects of exhibition design and production. All interns work under the guidance of OEC staff on current exhibit projects. Internships are available within design, graphics, fabrication, model-making, 3D digitalization, marketing/communication and project management. Please plan to meet in the lobby of the University Career Center & The President's Promise (3100 Hornbake Library, South Wing) at 9:00 a.m. We will depart promptly by bus at 9:15 a.m. and return to campus by 12:30 p.m. You may want to bring a snack. During our visit, we will tour the space to learn more about the work culture and hear from a panel of professionals within the Office of Exhibits Central about the variety of internships available.
