Former Deputy Assistant Secretary of State to Discuss Business and Investment Challenges in Asia

Although Southeast Asia contains enormous possibility for US and multinational firms, the 10 countries that make up the region offer a range of unique challenges to doing business in the region. Professor Catharin Dalpino -- a Southeast Asia analyst with 30+ years of experience with the region -- will outline business challenges in the region, giving special attention to Vietnam and Thailand. Dalpino is a former Deputy Assistant Secretary of State for Democracy in the State Department's Bureau of Democracy, Human Rights, and Labor. She currently teaches on Southeast Asia at Johns Hopkins University-SAIS.
