The Rebecca Williams Award for Commitment to Social Change

In recognition of Rebecca Williams' work for social change, this award is to be given to a University of Maryland College Park undergraduate or graduate student who has demonstrated, by his/her actions, a commitment to social change on or off campus on issues such as equal rights, world peace, or the environment, which concerned Becky Williams who worked in the University Counseling Center from 1968-1987. This commitment may be demonstrated in many ways, through individual or organizational leadership or by being a role model. Send nominations with a brief description of the reasons for nomination, as well as name and address of the student and your name and address to: Dr. Marcy Marinelli (marcym@umd.edu) by March 1, 2014
