On Tuesday, Sept. 8, the University of Maryland will launch a new university calendar that will streamline and replace the FYI and Free Stuff @ UMD calendars. Beginning Sept. 8, you will be able to submit your events to the new campus calendar for review and approval, much like the current process for FYI and Free Stuff @ UMD. On Sept. 8, if you visit this website, you will automatically be redirected to the new calendar. In addition, a new weekly email called UMD This Week will launch on Sept. 8, replacing the daily FYI email. UMD This Week will be delivered at the beginning of every week and will highlight top upcoming events. CAPC and the Department of Government and Politics offer is accepting applications for two exciting internship programs to help University of Maryland undergraduates gain real-world experience in government and public policy, coupled with classroom training: the Capitol Hill Internship Program (CHIP), and the Public Policy Internship Program (PPIP). You will have the opportunity to intern in federal offices and public policy agencies for a semester, earning course credit and valuable experience.
Applications are currently being accepted for the Spring 2014 Session of CHIP and PPIP. The deadline is December 13th.
