We are presently looking for participants for a pair of studies in the Language Development Lab. In the first study, we'd be asking you to listen to sentences played over headphones and type what you hear on a keyboard. In the second study, we would be asking you to listen to speech sounds and associate those sounds with colored squares. The session as a whole (including both experiments) takes at most 60 minutes. We can compensate you $10 for your time.
If you think you might be interested, we're happy to schedule an appointment for you soon. Make sure you satisfy the criteria to participate in the study: being a (1) native English speaker (2) between the ages of 55 and 65 (3) with typical hearing. Unfortunately, you can't participate in this study if you have already participated in a previous study of our lab looking for 55-65 year olds.
