As part of our campus Food Day Celebration, Chef Will Rogers from UMD Dining Services will give a tour of the beautiful and bountiful Chef's Garden at Stamp where he grows herbs and greens for use in campus restaurants and catering. The Chef's Garden was first planted in spring 2013, with many of the edibles started from seed by students in the UMD gardening community. Chef Will will then be joined by Allison Lilly, Sustainability and Wellness Coordinator, and the two will talk about projects underway to enhance food sustainability at UMD, including the Farmers Market, the Food Truck, sustainable seafood, and the proposed campus vegetable farm. After the event, be sure to visit the Farmers Market at Cole for more Food Day festivities!
