Seeking Volunteers for Latino Graducation Celebration Planning Committee

The Latino Graduation Celebration is a commemoration that recognizes Latina/o graduates at the University of Maryland in mid May. The purpose of the celebration is to highlight the success and achievements of Latina/o graduates as well as to establish an institutionally-acknowledged cultural space at UMD. The committee has 3-4 spots available for faculty/staff to serve on teh committee that plans this event.

Meeting responsibilities usually begin at the end of the fall semester, but begin every two weeks in the Spring semester. Some tasks that our committeemembers do are contact financial sponsors, communicate with student organizations, schedule catering, music entertainment, printing of materials, and call a list of graduating students just to name a few.
