On Tuesday, Sept. 8, the University of Maryland will launch a new university calendar that will streamline and replace the FYI and Free Stuff @ UMD calendars. Beginning Sept. 8, you will be able to submit your events to the new campus calendar for review and approval, much like the current process for FYI and Free Stuff @ UMD. On Sept. 8, if you visit this website, you will automatically be redirected to the new calendar. In addition, a new weekly email called UMD This Week will launch on Sept. 8, replacing the daily FYI email. UMD This Week will be delivered at the beginning of every week and will highlight top upcoming events. The email will include details on how to access the new calendar and how to submit events for approval. Questions? Email

Facilitating Student Engagement in Large Enrollment Course Spaces (DivIT and CTE)

This interactive workshop will focus on challenges and strategies for managing multiple section courses and for employing effective methods of enabling student engagement. The activity-based session is a cooperative effort of the Division of Information Technology and the Center for Teaching Excellence. It will feature the perspectives of several faculty who are managing large numbers of students in their ELMS Canvas course spaces.
