On Tuesday, Sept. 8, the University of Maryland will launch a new university calendar that will streamline and replace the FYI and Free Stuff @ UMD calendars. Beginning Sept. 8, you will be able to submit your events to the new campus calendar for review and approval, much like the current process for FYI and Free Stuff @ UMD. On Sept. 8, if you visit this website, you will automatically be redirected to the new calendar. In addition, a new weekly email called UMD This Week will launch on Sept. 8, replacing the daily FYI email. UMD This Week will be delivered at the beginning of every week and will highlight top upcoming events. Fox Trot-Tango-Swing and Waltz-Rumba-Cha Cha

American style dancing is the foundation for ballroom dancing at all levels. It is the place where beginners get their start and more advanced dancers hone their skills for both social and competitive dancing. Emphasis is on partnership, lead and follow, and floor craft. Students will learn six different styles of dancing within this class, including fox trot, tango, swing, waltz, rumba and cha cha. No partner required. [NO PREREQUISITE]
