On Tuesday, Sept. 8, the University of Maryland will launch a new university calendar that will streamline and replace the FYI and Free Stuff @ UMD calendars. Beginning Sept. 8, you will be able to submit your events to the new campus calendar for review and approval, much like the current process for FYI and Free Stuff @ UMD. On Sept. 8, if you visit this website, you will automatically be redirected to the new calendar. In addition, a new weekly email called UMD This Week will launch on Sept. 8, replacing the daily FYI email. UMD This Week will be delivered at the beginning of every week and will highlight top upcoming events. The email will include details on how to access the new calendar and how to submit events for approval. Questions? Email UMDevents@umd.edu.

The Office of Multi-ethnic Student Education (OMSE) is seeking paid and volunteer tutors for fall 2013 to assist with various subjects, including BSCI (105/106), CHEM, PHYS and languages.

Undergraduate and graduate students are welcome to apply. Students are encouraged to apply as a volunteer tutor if they available for fewer than 5 hours/week or tutoring fewer than 5 courses.
