Mathematics of Planet Earth 2013 is a global program supported by UNESCO to highlight the role of mathematics in the study of Earth. One of the missions of MPE is to present "the essential role of the mathematical sciences in facing the challenges to our planet." The Engineering and Physical Sciences Library explores how mathematicians and glaciologists collaborate to study glaciers and create a model to predict glacier fluctuations.
