On Tuesday, Sept. 8, the University of Maryland will launch a new university calendar that will streamline and replace the FYI and Free Stuff @ UMD calendars. Beginning Sept. 8, you will be able to submit your events to the new campus calendar for review and approval, much like the current process for FYI and Free Stuff @ UMD. On Sept. 8, if you visit this website, you will automatically be redirected to the new calendar. In addition, a new weekly email called UMD This Week will launch on Sept. 8, replacing the daily FYI email. UMD This Week will be delivered at the beginning of every week and will highlight top upcoming events. Summer session of the Rainbow Terrapin Network Training. This training covers the fundamentals of allyship and advocacy for lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, and queer inclusion on campus. We will discuss social justice, vocabulary and inclusive language, campus issues and resources, and ways you can take action and get involved.
All students, staff, and faculty of UMD are welcome, as well as local community members. This is a voluntary training and only those who wish to attend should register. Participants are expected to attend the entire training.
