On Tuesday, Sept. 8, the University of Maryland will launch a new university calendar that will streamline and replace the FYI and Free Stuff @ UMD calendars. Beginning Sept. 8, you will be able to submit your events to the new campus calendar for review and approval, much like the current process for FYI and Free Stuff @ UMD. On Sept. 8, if you visit this website, you will automatically be redirected to the new calendar. In addition, a new weekly email called UMD This Week will launch on Sept. 8, replacing the daily FYI email. UMD This Week will be delivered at the beginning of every week and will highlight top upcoming events. The Division of Information Technology's Learning Technologies Institute will conduct a series of FREE, face-to-face, workshops targeting getting started in and developing content for ELMS course spaces, July 1-3, 2013. In addition, DivIT-sponsored Sloan-C online workshops featuring such topics as "Assessment Techniques in Online Learning," "Engaging Introduction Activities," and "New to Online: The Essentials" are also available for free July registration.
