On Tuesday, Sept. 8, the University of Maryland will launch a new university calendar that will streamline and replace the FYI and Free Stuff @ UMD calendars. Beginning Sept. 8, you will be able to submit your events to the new campus calendar for review and approval, much like the current process for FYI and Free Stuff @ UMD. On Sept. 8, if you visit this website, you will automatically be redirected to the new calendar. In addition, a new weekly email called UMD This Week will launch on Sept. 8, replacing the daily FYI email. UMD This Week will be delivered at the beginning of every week and will highlight top upcoming events. The email will include details on how to access the new calendar and how to submit events for approval. Questions? Email UMDevents@umd.edu.

The Undergraduate Studies Advising Conference committee is accepting proposals for this year's conference, entitled "Dream. Discover. Deliver: Appreciating Ourselves, Appreciating Students." Successful proposal themes may include topics that:

Increase advisor success through student-centered approaches
Help students as well as advisors achieve their goals and full potential
Maintain a healthy work/life balance
Develop career pathways in higher education
Enhance advisors knowledge of resources for special populations of students, such as veteran or international students
Manage change in the work environment
