On Tuesday, Sept. 8, the University of Maryland will launch a new university calendar that will streamline and replace the FYI and Free Stuff @ UMD calendars. Beginning Sept. 8, you will be able to submit your events to the new campus calendar for review and approval, much like the current process for FYI and Free Stuff @ UMD. On Sept. 8, if you visit this website, you will automatically be redirected to the new calendar. In addition, a new weekly email called UMD This Week will launch on Sept. 8, replacing the daily FYI email. UMD This Week will be delivered at the beginning of every week and will highlight top upcoming events. The email will include details on how to access the new calendar and how to submit events for approval. Questions? Email

Kinesiology Exercise and Vascular Health Study - seeking highly active 50-80 year olds

We are looking for 50-80 year old men and women to participate in a study regarding the effects of life-long exercise on vascular health.

To participate, you must be in good health, engage in at least 4 hours of cardio exercise each week, and have been at least this active for 15 of the last 20 years. Testing involves 2 fasted blood draws, a maximal treadmill test, body composition analysis, forearm blood flow measurements, and an MRI brain scan.
