On Tuesday, Sept. 8, the University of Maryland will launch a new university calendar that will streamline and replace the FYI and Free Stuff @ UMD calendars. Beginning Sept. 8, you will be able to submit your events to the new campus calendar for review and approval, much like the current process for FYI and Free Stuff @ UMD. On Sept. 8, if you visit this website, you will automatically be redirected to the new calendar. In addition, a new weekly email called UMD This Week will launch on Sept. 8, replacing the daily FYI email. UMD This Week will be delivered at the beginning of every week and will highlight top upcoming events. "Perception and Projections of Power" panel series is a grant initiative in which speakers from diverse backgrounds discuss leading in a multicultural world and creating community change. The panel will address aspects of identity and community building from different structural leadership positions within society. Panelist include Eugene Schneeberg, Director of Center for Faith-Based & Neighborhood Partnerships, U.S. Department of Justice; Reverend Dr. Edna Canty Jenkins, pastor of Embry African Methodist Church; Musa L. Eubanks, Esq., Director of the Office of Community Relations for Prince George's County; and Lupi Quinteros-Grady, Deputy Director of the Latin American/Maryland Multicultural Youth Centers.
