Arboretum Talk and Walk -- Regenerative Stream Conveyance

When: Wednesday, April 10, 2013 12:00 PM - 1:00 PM
Where: Arboretum Outreach Center at the Apiary
Event Type(s): Special Event

Over time, conventional stormwater treatments can cause environmental degradation. Alternatively, restoring the natural native water cycle can result in a system of physical features, chemical processes, and biological mechanisms that have dramatic positive feedback effects on the ecology of a drainage area. Keith Underwood is the founder and Principal of Underwood & Associates. He has more than 20 years of experience in ecological restoration design. We will meet for a brief introduction at the Arboretum Outreach Center at noon, then take a short walk to Campus Creek until about 1pm. For those interested in more detail, we will walk back to the Arboretum Outreach Center for a 60 minute question and answer session.
