In Prince George's County, 70,000 children live below the federal poverty line and struggle with food insecurity and malnutrition, because they do not have the resources and information to cook healthy meals. No Kid Hungry UMD is generating awareness regarding nutritious and affordable eating. By providing knowledge and proper resources, we hope to prepare future generations for healthy living and generate awareness about an issue in the local community.

Our final Healthy Cooking Demonstration will be held on April 13th at 11:30 a.m.in 251 North in collaboration with Dining Services. There will be FREE food and a chance to learn more about how YOU can make an impact on child hunger in Maryland. RSVP to umdcookingdemos@gmail.com
