When: Friday, April 12, 2013 12:00 PM - 1:15 PM
Where: Francis Scott Key : 0102
Event Type(s): Lecture

Internally-renowned Emotional Intelligence (EI) researcher Moshe Zeidner will present a talk on the current and future states of EI research. It is commonly claimed that EI measures are predictive of important educational, social, and occupational criteria, beyond the proportion of variance predicted by IQ or personality. However, the science of EI is in its 'early adolescence' and many questions remain unanswered. Dr. Zeidner will discuss what we know about EI with respect to theory, assessment, and applications, and point out directions for future research.
