Public Health Research@Maryland 2013 will showcase collaborative research designed to promote healthy lifestyles, communities and policies. The free event is sponsored by the School of Public Health with support from MPowering the State and will be held at the Stamp Student Union on Thursday, April 4, 2013.
Epidemiologist and bioterrorism expert D.A. Henderson will give the keynote lecture on the history of the international effort to eradicate smallpox. The event will also include research showcase, networking panels (focused on issues including physical activity, obesity prevention, cancer control, environmental health, health disparities and aging) and a closing reception.
