"DMA-POMDP: A Multi-Agent Framework for Decentralized Control and Its Application to Outbreak Response"

Abstract:
Simmons Ivy will present a multi-agent partially observable Markov decision process framework (DMA-POMDP) for decentralized control of multiple agents under uncertainty. This framework will be applied to a public health setting where local and state health departments seek a timely response to a disease outbreak.

Bio:

Dr. Julie Simmons Ivy is an associate professor at North Carolina State University. She received her bachelor's and doctorate degrees from the University of Michigan.
