On Tuesday, Sept. 8, the University of Maryland will launch a new university calendar that will streamline and replace the FYI and Free Stuff @ UMD calendars. Beginning Sept. 8, you will be able to submit your events to the new campus calendar for review and approval, much like the current process for FYI and Free Stuff @ UMD. On Sept. 8, if you visit this website, you will automatically be redirected to the new calendar. In addition, a new weekly email called UMD This Week will launch on Sept. 8, replacing the daily FYI email. UMD This Week will be delivered at the beginning of every week and will highlight top upcoming events. The email will include details on how to access the new calendar and how to submit events for approval. Questions? Email

Graduate Student Inclusion and Diversity Teaching Project Spring 2013: Why White Privilege Matters

In partnership with the Graduate School and the Office of Inclusion and Diversity we will pilot five inclusion and diversity workshops during the Spring 2013, semester. Each workshop is limited to 25 individuals. The first workshop: Why White Privilege matters is March 4, 2013.

Participants who participate in at least four of the five workshops including providing a reflection on a short assigned reading prior to the workshop will receive a letter/certificate of completion signed by the Graduate School and CTE.
