On Tuesday, Sept. 8, the University of Maryland will launch a new university calendar that will streamline and replace the FYI and Free Stuff @ UMD calendars. Beginning Sept. 8, you will be able to submit your events to the new campus calendar for review and approval, much like the current process for FYI and Free Stuff @ UMD. On Sept. 8, if you visit this website, you will automatically be redirected to the new calendar. In addition, a new weekly email called UMD This Week will launch on Sept. 8, replacing the daily FYI email. UMD This Week will be delivered at the beginning of every week and will highlight top upcoming events. Join Amy Ginther, Coordinator of Project NEThics in the UMCP Division of Information Technology Security and Policy Office, to discuss the acceptable use of information technology resources and approaches used to address incidents of misuse. Topics will include the risks of copyright-infringing downloading, internet privacy, account security, and protecting yourself and your reputation online. We will also cover how to mobilize resources to get help if you are the target of an abuse incident.
