Dr. Maggie Popkin will deliver a lecture titled ""The Triumphal Route under Septimius Severus: Monuments and Memory in Ancient Rome," on Friday March 1 at 4PM, in the Michelle Smith Collaboratory for Visual Culture, Rm 4213 Art/Sociology Building (Dept. of Art History and Archaeology). Dr. Popkin is a specialist in Ancient Roman Art History. The lecture relates to her research on the ancient Roman triumphal route as a site of cultural memory.
