On Tuesday, Sept. 8, the University of Maryland will launch a new university calendar that will streamline and replace the FYI and Free Stuff @ UMD calendars. Beginning Sept. 8, you will be able to submit your events to the new campus calendar for review and approval, much like the current process for FYI and Free Stuff @ UMD. On Sept. 8, if you visit this website, you will automatically be redirected to the new calendar. In addition, a new weekly email called UMD This Week will launch on Sept. 8, replacing the daily FYI email. UMD This Week will be delivered at the beginning of every week and will highlight top upcoming events. The email will include details on how to access the new calendar and how to submit events for approval. Questions? Email UMDevents@umd.edu.

Dr. Lauren Kinnee, currently Instructor in Art History at Colorado College, will deliver a lecture titled "The Roman Trophy at Home and Abroad" on February 27 at 4PM, in the Michelle Smith Collaboratory for Visual Culture, Rm 4213 Art/Sociology Building, Dept. of Art History and Archaeology. Dr. Kinnee is a specialist in Ancient Roman Art and the lecture is drawn from her research on the Roman military trophy as battlefield marker and as ideological symbol.
