Inclusion and Diversity Workshop Series--Why White Privilege Matters

CTE and the Graduate School will pilot an inclusion and diversity workshop initiative in spring semester 2013. Individuals who sign up and attend 4 our of 5 workshops AND provide a reflection on an assigned reading prior to the workshops will receive a letter/certificate of completion signed by the Graduate School and CTE. Each of the workshops will be limited to 25 individuals. Graduate students who wish to participate in one or more workshops but are not interested in obtaining the certificate of completion are welcome to attend individual workshops.

The first workshop in this series will be on March 4th from 4-5:30pm in the Maryland Room of Marie Mount Hall. The title will be, "Why White Privilege Matter" presented by Darius Bost of the Department of American Studies. To RSVP and learn more, go to http://cte.umd.edu/Resource/RSVP/03042013/
