On Tuesday, Sept. 8, the University of Maryland will launch a new university calendar that will streamline and replace the FYI and Free Stuff @ UMD calendars. Beginning Sept. 8, you will be able to submit your events to the new campus calendar for review and approval, much like the current process for FYI and Free Stuff @ UMD. On Sept. 8, if you visit this website, you will automatically be redirected to the new calendar. In addition, a new weekly email called UMD This Week will launch on Sept. 8, replacing the daily FYI email. UMD This Week will be delivered at the beginning of every week and will highlight top upcoming events. CTE and the Graduate School will pilot an inclusion and diversity workshop initiative in spring semester 2013. Individuals who sign up and attend 4 our of 5 workshops AND provide a reflection on an assigned reading prior to the workshops will receive a letter/certificate of completion signed by the Graduate School and CTE. Each of the workshops will be limited to 25 individuals. Graduate students who wish to participate in one or more workshops but are not interested in obtaining the certificate of completion are welcome to attend individual workshops.
