THIS FRIDAY: Black Monologues Program

When: Friday, February 22, 2013 6:00 PM - 8:00 PM
Where: Stamp Student Union : HOFF THEATER
Event Type(s): Diversity,Special Event

The Black Monologues is designed to give students, staff, and faculty an opportunity to share their stories through the performance of original monologues, while educating the broader campus community on institutional issues and experiences affecting (or not affecting) Black* members of the University of Maryland community. The program will give people an opportunity to think critically and challenge their individual biases, while dispelling stereotypes and hopefully stimulating important dialogue surrounding critical issues of identity, equity, retention, and social justice.

This show will give you an opportunity to hear about and ask questions pertaining to the lived experiences and thoughts of the performers.

Doors open at 6:00PM on February 22nd at the Hoff Theater.
