Wellness Tip of the Week: Laugh More

Event Type(s): Health

They say that laughter is the best free medicine, and in many ways, this is true. Laughter can help to alleviate some of the physical effects of stress, improving your mood and keeping you emotionally well. Research has shown that a hearty laugh can serve to relax your muscles and release tension in your body for up to 45 minutes after! Laughter also releases endorphins, helping you to feel happier and more relaxed. So, if you start to feel stressed out, try exercising your sense of humor to get some relief.
