Writers Here and Now: Karen Russell and Kyle Dargan

The Writers Here and Now series brings writers of national and international prominence to the University of Maryland.

Karen Russell, a native of Miami, has been featured in The NewYorker's debut ction issue and on The New Yorker's 20 Under 40 list, and was chosen as one of Granta's Best Young American Novelists.

Kyle Dargan is the author of three collections of poetry, most recently Logorrhea Dementia (UGA, 2010). His debut, The Listening(UGA 2004), won the 2003 Cave Canem Prize, and his second, Bouquetof Hungers (UGA 2007), was awarded the 2008 Hurston/Wright Legacy Award in poetry.
