Please join us in celebrating the presence of jazz in the visual arts for this Black History Month. We invite you to the opening reception of our newest exhibition: "Convergence: Jazz, Films, and the Visual Arts" on Thursday, February 14th 5 -- 6 pm at the David C. Driskell Center located at 1207 Cole Student Activities Building, University of Maryland, College Park. Immediately following the reception is the Keynote Lecture, "Looking at the Music: Jazz and the Visual Arts" for our conference, "Jazz: A Dialogue in the Performance and Visual Arts," by Robert G. O'Meally, PhD., of Columbia University.
