Dr. Jennifer Hadden is assistant professor in the Department of Government and Politics, and a faculty affiliate of the Program for Society and the Environment and the Center for International Development and Conflict Management at the University of Maryland. She received her Ph.D. in Government from Cornell University in 2011. Her current research focuses on the role of civil society participation in climate change policy-making in the United Nations, as well as on the international politics of sustainable development. This work has been supported by a Fulbright Fellowship, as well as by grants from the European Union Studies Association, the National Socio-Environmental Synthesis Center, and the Cornell Institute for a Sustainable Future. She is the 2012 recipient of the American Political Science Association's Virginia M. Walsh Award for the best dissertation in the field of science, technology and environmental politics.
