January is a great time to get organized and plan for a healthy new year. Part of staying healthy is preparing for unexpected emergencies. Take some time this month to develop an emergency preparedness plan for you and your family. Make a kit of essential supplies that you would need if you weren't able to leave your home for a few days, and practice drills for various emergency situations. Get the whole family involved in staying safe in 2013.
