The Black Monologues is designed to give students, staff, and faculty an opportunity to share their stories through the performance of original monologues, while educating the broader campus community on institutional issues and experiences affecting (or not affecting) Black* members of the University of Maryland community. The program will give people an opportunity to think critically and challenge their individual biases, while dispelling stereotypes and hopefully stimulating important dialogue surrounding critical issues of identity, equity, retention, and social justice.
ARE YOU A BLACK* UMD-CP FACULTY, STAFF, OR STUDENT WITH A STORY TO SHARE?
ARE YOU INTERESTED IN PERFORMING OR EXPRESSING YOUR STORY THROUGH A VIDEO?
