November is VOCATIONAL WELLNESS month at the University of Maryland! At the heart of maintaining vocational wellness is finding work, or an area of study, that is meaningful to you and aligned with your personal values. A great way to identify meaningful career options is by doing a self-assessment. Write down the things you value most (e.g. health, family, financial success, flexibility, making a difference, etc.). Then, ask yourself if your job, or your area of study, supports those values. If not, it may be time to look for something that fits better.
