Yodo Kurahashi: Shakuhachi Performance and Talk

Yodo Kurahashi, one of Japan's great Master Shakuhachi flute players, will give a performance and discuss how this traditional Japanese instrument is played. Yodo Kurahashi will be accompanied by Ayako Kurahashi on sangen and koto, and by Miyuki Yoshikami on koto.

In a career spanning 30 years, Yodo Kurahashi has garnered esteem and accolades from the four corners of the traditional Japanese music world. He is recognized both in Japan and in many countries abroad as a genteel ambassador of shakuhachi and Japanese hogaku traditional music in general.
