On Tuesday, Sept. 8, the University of Maryland will launch a new university calendar that will streamline and replace the FYI and Free Stuff @ UMD calendars. Beginning Sept. 8, you will be able to submit your events to the new campus calendar for review and approval, much like the current process for FYI and Free Stuff @ UMD. On Sept. 8, if you visit this website, you will automatically be redirected to the new calendar. In addition, a new weekly email called UMD This Week will launch on Sept. 8, replacing the daily FYI email. UMD This Week will be delivered at the beginning of every week and will highlight top upcoming events. The email will include details on how to access the new calendar and how to submit events for approval. Questions? Email

The National Consortium for the Study of Terrorism and Responses to Terrorism (START) is currently offering unpaid internships on several of its research projects. Internships are open to undergraduate and graduate students. Unless otherwise stated students at any institution may apply. Internships can be undertaken for academic credit.

Complete applications submitted by midnight on the priority date of Sunday October 7th will receive best consideration. However we will continue to accept applications for the spring internships until midnight on Sunday October 13th.* In-complete applications will not be considered.
