The first presentation in this year's Distinguished Scholar-Teacher Lecture Series will be given by Dr. Gary LaFree from the Department of Criminology and Criminal Justice and START. He will present "Black Swans and Burstiness: Countering Myths about Terrorism." The Distinguished Scholar-Teacher Lectures are given by faculty members who are being honored for their outstanding accomplishments in both scholarship and teaching. Besides Dr. LaFree, this year's honorees are Professors Elizabeth Beise, Robert Briber, Theresa Coletti, Carol Espy-Wilson, and Delores Ziegler.
